According to the Liverpool Daily Post, Brian Jacques is among those who will receive an Honorary Fellowship from the Liverpool John Moores University.

The article goes on to quote Brian, who says, “I’m delighted to have been recognised by my own city. As a boy who did not go to grammar school and had to leave at 15 to get a job without any further education, this is indeed a very great honour of which I will be very proud.”

Broadcaster Esther Rantzen and songwriter Richard Stilgoe will also receive Fellowships.

The graduation ceremonies will take place on July 21st and July 25th.
