To close out our coverage on the new Redwall releases, we turn to Redwall: The Graphic Novel.

Back in June, you might recall that Penguin released a preview page and the numbering of it didn’t quite mesh up with the Advance Reading Copy. At the time, I put forth four possible explanations:

…were the pages renumbered for the final release (not starting at “1″), was this preview produced before the ARC, or were two additional pages produced for the start of the book? (Or does it simply accommodate an introduction?)

With the release of The Graphic Novel, we now know that the second explanation was closest to the truth. The finished product matches the ARC perfectly, so something happened on the way to the previews department.

With that dangling story settled, I encourage all Redwall fans to track down the Graphic Novel, which is truly stupendous. It’s already trickled into major bookstores and will arrive in comic shops tomorrow.

In the meantime, if you haven’t yet, be sure to read The Long Patrol’s interview with Stuart Moore (writer of the Graphic Novel) and take a look at the preview pages. A review is on the way.
