Redwall.org has now confirmed Voyage of Slaves‘ existence and release date and has also provided us with a brief teaser:

Adrift in the Mediterranean Sea, Ben and his loyal dog Ned—cursed by an avenging angel to roam the earth forever—fall into the clutches of the Slave Lord Al Misurata. Thus starts a roaring adventure, ranging from the Libyan coast to the Italian border.

Survival is a daily battle over land and sea, as Ben and Ned gain good friends and encounter ruthless enemies in their quest for freedom. At times possessing nothing other than their wits, they must rely on one another to defeat the forces of evil.

Brian Jacques, master storyteller and author of the New York Times best-selling Redwall epic, turns yet another page in the log of the Castaways of the Flying Dutchman—a rousing yarn full of high-seas adventure!

Voyage of Slaves will see a U.S. release on September 21st, 2006 (ISBN 0399245499) and a U.K. release on October 5th, 2006 (ISBN 0670913243).
