Last year, the popular anime company FUNimation (Dragon Ball Z, Fullmetal Alchemist) signed a distribution deal with Nelvana stating that FUNimation will be responsible for releasing Nelvana properties on DVD. Among those properties, of course, is a little show called Redwall, which has now hit shelves!

Volume One, already released, is entitled Redwall – The Siege and contains episodes 1-4. Volume Two, entitled Redwall – Friends and Foes, is slated for an August 23rd release. The DVDs retail for $19.98 apiece.

FUNimation has an established track record of releasing lengthy animated series in their entirety, making it very likely that all thirty-nine episodes of Redwall (including the fan-favorite Mattimeo season) will make it to DVD.

U.S. and Canadian residents can order the DVD online at Amazon.com.

Stay tuned to the Newsline for more developments.
