‘Redwall’ and ‘Mossflower’ reprinted for younger readers

firebirdFirebird Fantasy, an imprint of Penguin Putnam, Inc., has recently issued new printings of both Redwall and Mossflower, in 7 3/4″ x 5″ dimensions more befitting younger readers. These printings boast the original Troy Howell covers, albeit with a slightly different title dress (see image).

Both books retain their original illustrations by Gary Chalk and contain no new material save a full page from Brian Jacques, where he reminisces how each book came to be about. Unless you don’t yet own either book, these editions would likely only interest collectors.

As a further point of interest, this marks the first time Troy Howell’s original cover to Redwall has been used as a paperback cover (trade edition notwithstanding).
