Terrouge Interviews BJ – Highlights

Terrouge’s November issue is up and with it (aside from an interview with yours truly) comes their long-awaited interview with Brian Jacques!

The interview included the following tidbits.

  • Loamhedge is complete and in the hands of the publisher.
  • Loamhedge will be set after Triss chronologically.
  • Loamhedge will not feature any returning characters.
  • We will not meet Sarobando and Bragoon prior to Loamhedge. They were, however, dibbuns in the book who left the Abbey and now tell stories of their mischievous exploits.
  • The official Redwall Cookbook is scheduled to be released just before Christmas 2003.
  • Castaways of the Flying Dutchman will not be a two book series. It will be, however, many books BJ feels like. However, I’d say it’s doubtful that we can expect a Dutchman book on a yearly basis like with Redwall.
  • Finally, Brian is currently working on a new book that is neither Redwall nor Dutchman. What is this new book? He wouldn’t tell. It’s entirely possible that he’s referring to his autobiography, A Divvil of a Lad, though. Stay tuned to the Newsline for more information.

Congratulations to Terrouge for a great interview!
