A new listing on Amazon UK suggest that the Redwall Television Series will be resuming its Region 2 DVD release in June.
Entitled “Cluny the Scourge”, the DVD has a running time of 65 minutes and will be released byFremantle Home Entertainment on June 9th, 2008.
This will be the fifth U.K. release, joining the abridged Redwall: The Movie and the three-disc release of season two, Mattimeo.
Given the naming scheme that has been followed in the U.K. in the past (titling the release after the first episode on the disc), it’s expected that Cluny the Scourge will contain the first three episodes of the series:
I should stress that Region 2 DVDs cannot be played on standard U.S. players, this is a U.K. release. U.S. fans will have to track down the out-of-print FUNimation release from a few years ago.
The Newsline will keep you updated on future release.
I’ve always loved the fact that some poeple turn to certain comfort foods when they are down. But what is more amazing, is the group of poeple who know of books they can turn to (like the story of Martin of Redwall and his quest to find his father) to find comfort in. Brian Jacques was one of my favorite authors, and I hope that his legacy lives on.
