Some details have surfaced regarding the plot of the forthcoming book, The Tale of Urso Brunov and the White Emperor by Brian Jacques and Alexi Natchev. With it comes a clue as to the identity of the “White Emperor”… polar bear, anyone?
The following summary was posted on the Library of Congress‘ online catalog:
Orso Brunov, the Little Father of All Bears, who stands no bigger than your thumb and always keeps his promises, saves two lost polar bears with the help of some of his friends.
I assume that “Orso” is a typo, given that “the Little Father of All Bears” is Urso Brunov’s title. The listing also contained the book classifications of “Fairy tales”, “Bears–Fiction”, “Animals–Fiction”, and “Winter–Fiction”.
It’s interesting to note that the listing does not boast the “The Tale of” that was added to Amazon’s listing. We’ll keep you posted.
The Tale of Urso Brunov and the White Emperor will hit stores October 16th, 2008.
