Since it’s been knocked down quite a bit, let me repeat that I recently had the honor of interviewing Daniel Fernandez, one of the composers for the Redwall Television Series. Be sure to read it!
Also, to repeat since it’s also been knocked down, David Elliot has been credited with being the illustrator of Triss rather than Peter Standley. That should do it.
A few superficial changes to the Newsline today. First, I’ve weeded out released products. Taggerung, Winter’s Tale, and Tribes: Badgers have been relocated to the Bookshelf, seeing as how they’ve all been released. Proper reviews are forthcoming for Tagg and Tribes– Winter’s Tale already has one– but, in the meantime, they will be linked back to their old Newsline pages. Thanks for your patience while I catch up with everything.
I’ve also removed a link to the PBS listing. The list became outdated as far back as last August and many of the stations have already pulled Redwall, having aired it many times over. Your best bet for finding out if Redwall is airing in your area is to check TV Guide (online or off, although online would be easier) or contact your local station directly. Contacting your station would yield better results, as they’ll know they have a fan base for the show and would, thus, be more inclined to pick up future seasons (such as Martin the Warrior).
The Release page has been updated, as have pages for Triss, Loamhedge, The Angel’s Command, and Animation to reflect the info revealed by Brian in the Ask Brian feature yesterday.
Finally, I did manage to track down a few reliable stores that are selling NTSC VHS copies of Redwall. This tape will play on American and Canadian VCRs. Only one volume (Redwall: The Adventure Begins) has been released so far and it only appears to be in Canada at the moment. It contains the first four episodes and, as the episodes are 22 minutes apiece and the approx. running time of the tape is 90 minutes, it doesn’t look like the extra footage that aired on PBS has been included. Nevertheless, everyone should support Redwall on VHS. The more it sells, the more likely future seasons and releases will be. You can find the tape at either Video Flicks or Chapters.Indigo.ca.
I’ll keep you updated on a US release. And, again, reviews for Tribes of Redwall: Badgers and Taggerung are forthcoming.
