The Newsline Cometh!

For all intents and purposes, the Newsline launches today!

We’ve been here since 1997, but as a subsection of The Long Patrol. Starting today, the Newsline is it’s own site, existing alongside the LP, not as a part of it. I’ll still be posting updates on the products on both pages so that the maximum number of Redwallers can get the latest news.

I’ve just spent the last few hours cleaning the Newsline up, getting everything over to the new format. I also updated all information contained therein. As I’ve stated above in the introduction, the Newsline is for upcoming products. While the Redwall Riddler, Friend & Foe, and others are all nifty products, they’ve been out for awhile. You can still find information on them at The Redwall Bookshelf, but not here. The exceptions (for now) are the Radio Plays. I’m still working on full-reviews for them, which aren’t available on the Bookshelf yet, so their links will stay up on the main page for the time-being. Their format is still the out-dated version, however.

Now, for a run-down of this week’s developments:

  • Brian Jacques announced three new books in his webcast on 3/20/01. The first is Triss, which is a new Redwall book.
  • The second is The Angel’s Command, which is Brian’s sequel to Castaways of the Flying Dutchman.
  • The third is Loamhedge (which is an unofficial title). All we know about this book is that Brian is currently writing it.

The Newsline is pleased to have been the first site to post information on these titles. Visit each book’s respective page to find out more about them. Brian also disclosed information on The Taggerung and the progress of the movies, which can also be found on their respective pages. Read and enjoy. And please show your support for the Newsline by linking to us.
